Er, assuming there IS a gigantic man-sized chicken bent on destroying chicken-eating humans, I'm not exactly sure it's in my general best interests to actually hunt him down compared to just faking it.

Well yeah, but that's more of a "deadly in a familiar way." You get used to that sorta deadly. You don't really go LOOKING for more deadly to add to the pile, ya know?
