(no subject)

And here's Guybrush, at the Sea of Acheron. ...in front of a rather pathetic looking foot-pedal swan boat.

You know, you'd think after so many years doing this sort of thing, I would be used to the crushing disappointment of it all.

....You'd THINK that.

See, this is why you can't trust politicians. Ever.

Ah...

*Reisen watches for a few moments as it starts to fly out towards sea on a random breeze, and the moon rabbit quickly flies out to snatch it out of the air...*

...

*which results in a rather comedic sequence of the paper barely escaping her and close calls with the water, before she finally snatches it*

Whoa, gotta be careful around water, Reisen. I mean, you don't even have a life vest.

Apparently, he's missed the point. And it's a darned good thing Reisen saved that piece of paper, because it's a deed to a pirate ship called, uh, the Stinky Dugong. ...is that really an improvement?

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I-I wouldn't really need one, anyway...

It looks like this came out from the swan boat...

*she floats over and hands the deed to Guybrush*

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Huh?

He takes the deed and looks at it.

You know, gift horses and all that, and I should probably be really happy that this isn't the real deal, and that there's apparently a real ship waiting for me, but...

...The "Stinky Dugong?" What the heck's a dugong?

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
Still... ahahahaha... they really pulled fast one on me. Hahaha... Hahahahaha! All right! Finally, a real ship, all to myself! My Netherworld life is finally looking up! Isn't that right, swanny?

He cleans off the figurehead, grinning -- until he realizes what he's touching and urks a bit, backing away.

Man, those Senators have a CRUUUUUEL sense of humor, though. *shudder*

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
I guess all you need now is a crew, huh?

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yep! Though in spite of the generally large size of a ship and the detailed functioning of such, I usually only need three people.

...not that they usually help out that much, but it's a tradition, or something.

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
Ah...

... I'm not going to try to understand how that works.

Probably a safe bet, really.

Now let's see... where there's supposed to be pirates, there ought to be a nice, piratey town somewhere. And where there's a pirate, there are bored, unemployed pirates itching for a good ship and a good captain.

Neither of which apply in this case.

So! Let's see if this deed tells me where I can pick up my fine... uh, "stinky" vessel, then.

He begins reading it more thoroughly.
