Sea of Acheron? Sign him up for THAT.

The sea! Tropical breezes! Fierce pirates raping and pillaging their ways across the ocean waves! I... I'm so HAPPY!

All right! Time to get myself back on my feet. If I'm gonna be stuck here, it's about time I started acting like a REAL PIRATE again! Now I need a ship and some crewmates...

[Fierce pirates raping and pillaging ]

[raping and pillaging]

...Please tell me you don't really mean pillaging and...that...other thing.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well, maybe some of the pillaging, but the raping thing not so much, 'cause we're PG-rated, you know.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
*sigh* There will be no raping done on the voyages of Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate (tm). Satisfied?

[identity profile] youkai-hunting.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
I am.

[identity profile] slapwithpanache.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
How horribly offensive. But I suppose if you can't even manage to win at a children's card game, the chance of you actually pillaging anything is fairly small.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hey hey hey, I'll have you know that being a successful pirate and playing a card game are two completely different skill sets!

[identity profile] slapwithpanache.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Successful pirates scream and run at the sight of holographic monsters, do they?

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
I did NOT scream and run!

...I might have YELPED a bit, but no screaming and running!

[identity profile] slapwithpanache.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Ohoho! Of course there wasn't ~

Now, then. I have absolutely no interest in privateering, but I believe I shall join you on this venture, regardless. Safety in numbers -- and I expect that exploration is much more interesting than simply staying here.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
*sigh* Fine. If nothing else, pirates are a superstitious bunch. Maybe you can scare off some of the jerks.

geez i keep failing horribly at this 1/2

[identity profile] slapwithpanache.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 05:23 am (UTC)(link)

2/2

[identity profile] slapwithpanache.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
. . . Something like that?

And just to be clear, I wasn't asking for permission.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
GYAAH! Er, I mean, yeah, exactly like that. *cough*

Well, I suppose it's better than having to bribe people to come along on stuff like this.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh come on, come on, it's just a generic pirate description! I'm not actually gonna do stuff like that, I'm married! Geez!

[identity profile] solidprinny.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
This IS the netherworld, the morality here isn't exactly like Earth's.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, well, even I've got limits. Besides, I'm pretty sure Elaine would knock me to next Sunday if I even thought of doing something like that.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
My wife. ...*sigh* Who's probably wondering what's keeping me right now. Darn it. I'm real happy about this sea thing, but I'd really rather go home so I can finish getting rid of LeChuck again and be with her. Funny how that works.

[identity profile] solidprinny.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Gives Guybrush a bit of a look. Wife? him?]

Can't have everything we want, but the opening of these portals makes it less likely they can watch up closely.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
A smoking HOT wife, and if Snake were to look, he's actually got the wedding ring to prove it. Whoa ho.

Heeey, that's right! There's GOTTA be something out there that can get us out of this joint. Maybe something at the sea! Wow, who'd have thunk privateering could come in useful?

[identity profile] solidprinny.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
[He notes the ring. That's actually a good-sized diamond.]

It's possible, but let's just keep an eye out for anything else.

[he fishes out a cigarette and goes to light up]

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Well, keeping an eye out for nifty stuff -- sometimes in other peoples' possessions -- is half the point of being a pirate anyway. SO.

[identity profile] solidprinny.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
[He exhales]

Let me see whatever you snagged, it may prove useful.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Right. ...but I get to keep the cool stuff.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Man, everybody's fixated on that one word. Fine. "LOOTING and pillaging." You all happy?

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
... I guess that's a little better, but...

... are you actually going to pillage villages?

...

Now that I think about it, are there even any villages to pillage?

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it's more the general principle of the thing. Like a sort of general guideline, you know? Most of the pirates I know spend most of their time getting drunk and passing out anyway.

[identity profile] pet-moonrabbit.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... I guess that's okay, then...

... so do you even know where to get a boat?
Edited 2009-11-19 04:04 (UTC)

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that'd be step one, of course. I figure there's probably a few pirate towns, and hopefully someone who isn't a frantically flailing guy in plaid and a sombrero who has boats.

[identity profile] big-whoop.livejournal.com 2009-11-19 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
I don't NEED luck. I'm a Mighty Pirate (tm), after all.

...but thanks anyway.
